Church house Inn, Stokenham – 01548 580253
Originally to cater for the masons building the nearby church, Stokenham’s Church House Inn now provides for all who appreciate good food, wines and beers in a friendly and convivial atmosphere with family room and gardens. Ran by the same team as the Cricket Inn at Beesands, the Church House offers a contemporay pub menu.
From the House turn right at the pancake roundabout continue straight on. The Church House is situated in the village next to the church on the main road on the left hand side.
Start Bay Inn, Torcross -01548 580 553
The Inn dates back to the 14th century and was known as the Fisherman’s Arms and used by the local Fishermen, who worked their fishing boats from the village beach. The Start Bay in is in the small coastal village of Torcross.
From the House turn right at the pancake roundabout continue straight. Torcross is situated 1.5 miles down the road. The pub has its own car park.
The Cricket Inn, Beesands – 01548 580215.
The Cricket offers local ales good wines and a fabulous menu with customers returning time after time to sample the fresh fish and locally reared meats. They have dog friendly tables in the bar area so if booking a table then let them know you want to bring Rover, outside there is seating for over 100 where they serve a full menu whether permitting.
From the House turn right at the mini round-about turn right follow road for 1/4 mile take left turn sign posted Beeson / Beesands on entering the village of Beesands bare to the right and The Cricket Inn is on right.
The Millbrook Inn, Southpool – 01548 531 581
Situated on the South Pool Creek, the Millbrook oozes character with its low beams, open fires, local real ales and ciders and a genuine locally sourced menu served by equally local and friendly staff. Pubs like this are getting increasingly more difficult to find let alone stumble over.
From the House turn left, in the village of Frogmore take a left. Follow the signs to Southpool and the pub is in the centre of the village.

If you don’t make it out of bed in time here for breakfast, try The Café at Stokeley Farm Shop, burgers, sandwiches and ploughman’s for lunch, serves refreshments all day. 01548 581321

Fika: at the bottom by the bus station, offering great cakes and light bites. The Cafe at Harbour House, on the first floor and opens onto a terrace. Delicious vegetarian food.
The Pantry: Just off to the right at the bottom of Fore Street. Lovely deli serving sushi as well as local delights.
Mangetout: top left of Fore Street, another great deli that ticks all the boxes.

The Ward Room: at the back of crew clothing, stunning views over the harbour.
Captain Morgan’s: on Whitestrand car park follow your nose!
Sailor V: at the top of Fore Street on the left. Lots of options to suit most.
Salcombe coffee co: in the centre of town. Another great stop.
Dartmouth:
Smith Strret Deli: side street next to Crew Clothing. Great for a platter.
Cafe Alfresco, Lower Street: A Dartmouth insitution, very dog friendly.
Saveurs, Victoria Street: opposite Foss street. Lovely selection of french pastries.

From the House turn right, at the roundabout turn right, continue without crossing a white line for 5 miles. This is a very quirky pub run by former 60’s band manager Peter and his Wife Lesley.
